Yesterday (6/2) the 78th Weston Festival was held in Kamikochi! 💐 It was raining, but many customers came around the Weston monument and it was crowded!
June is the season recommended by the staff where you can enjoy the quiet Kamikochi, which is a little calm 😊 We also have plans for good deals, so please stay and spend a relaxing time in Kamikochi, where the greenery deepens!

In the upper highlands of late spring, where June begins, fresh green trees and flowers that can only be seen at this time of year are blooming beautifully. Today, as we began to feel the arrival of early summer, the Weston Festival was held to honor the accomplishments of Walter Weston, a British missionary who introduced the Japanese Alps and the Upper Highlands to the world. Despite heavy rain, many visitors attended the festival, making it a great success. The view of the six hundred mountains, with the Weston Monument in the background, is truly breathtaking and picturesque. It is fitting that there is a monument dedicated to Weston in this location. The scenery is so stunning that some people specifically visit Kamikochi to witness this view. The Weston Monument is located about a 20-minute walk from Kappa, on the downstream side of the Azusa River. Why not take a moment to visit during your stroll?
